We are very disappointed by this vandalism. If anyone has a replacement wheel it would be greatly appreciated.
Many users of the lines said it was a good idea having the old bikes there which helped promote the facilities at the library and said it was such a shame that someone was so desperate for a wheel they had to steal it.

If anyone has a bike I can pick it up and strip it to sort out the missing wheel

I imagine any bike shop will have a sqillions knackered wheels they'll be glad to let you have. I had no issues when I got a couple to make into lights and a clock about 15yrs ago.

I've got 2 used adult bikes if you want them? They'll need to be sprayed or painted black to be in keeping with your theme x

Unbelievable! Such a nice idea. We saw it yesterday all in one piece. I haven't a spare wheel, but maybe it'd be an idea to put some tamper proof wheel nuts on so the new one can't be pinched! Shouldn't have to, but this world is bonkers isn't it!😔

I'll have a rummage around and see if I have a spare wheel

It had gone on Sunday when we walked past🤨

Dave Robinson can you help? x

This was missing on Monday when I ran down there with my lad, I assumed you knew it had gone. It will be found thrown in the bushes or be at the bottom of the Lodge by now - just mindless theft and vandalism.

Can't have anything nice around here anymore because little scrotes want to get there kicks out of damaging other people's property! 🤬🤬

If anyone can fix a wheel on we would be very grateful ...plus we could use a couple more bikes...anyone can fix the tamper nuts we are willing to pay for them.....just let us know please .

Still had its wheel earlier today, walked past bout 11.30-12ish

I think I was going to do such a thing I'd get the wheels and movable bits tack welded to make it pointless to steal. Also run what youre doing by the council for approval then someone doesn't report it as flyposting/Tipping. Bury council have stickers for approved stuff.

Disgusting
