News from The Tottington Centre
Each time guidelines are published, we have been looking at the implications for us at The Tottington Centre. We are preparing Risk Assessments for users, which will be shared with you.
We are also looking at Health and Safety, signage, hygiene procedures etc… I won’t list all but be assured, a great deal of time, effort and thought will go into a potential part-time phased re-opening at some point. We are part of a national Online Service Recovery Programme for libraries and we are following their guidelines too.
As you will appreciate, before we proceed any further, we need to involve our volunteers in this process and listen to their views. If they do not feel that it is appropriate for them to be involved in a phased part time re-opening, then we cannot open. As soon as we have made decisions we will let you know.
The window project is coming along and a new desk, with the protective shield that you see all over the place, will be fitted. We don’t have an exact timeline for that as everyone is waiting in a queue for this!
Please keep your books until we have a system in place so that you can return them to us.
We have always been so grateful for all your donations in the past but for now we will not be in a position to take any donations for a while.
We are still running our 100 Club and winners are contacted when they have won a cash prize. It is £60 a year or £5 a month. Last month we raised £160. Please contact us if you would like to take part in this fundraiser and if you would like to donate, please see the just giving links here:
Thank you for your continued support. Stay safe.
Best wishes, from Friends of Tottington Library (FOTL)
